Olivan e Seus Teclados

Olivan dos Santos formed Olivan e Seus Teclados in 1988, coming from Campina Grande in Paraíba. Their debut album that year, also called 'Aviãozinho,' took off with the title track's simple, catchy chorus. That song became something people heard everywhere in Brazil for a while.

They kept making albums through the 1990s and into the 2000s, with titles like 'Forró e Axé' and 'Calypso e Brega.' The band's sound mixed keyboard lines with accordion and saxophone, played by members like Biu do Acordeon and Jorge do Sax. Other songs people remember include 'A Galera do Facebook' and 'O Barulhão.'

In 2010, there was some talk about a melody in their song 'Forró de Camas' sounding like something else, but it didn't go far. Mostly, their music just became part of the background noise at parties and gatherings across the country, the kind of thing that plays while people are dancing without thinking too hard about it.
