Archive material and source history
Oliver Clã formed in São Paulo in 2010 with Luiz Caldas on vocals and guitar, Juliano Costa on bass, Rodrigo Chiarini on drums, and Cristiano Lama on guitar. Their debut album came out the following year. The song 'Como Eu Te Quero' became a hit for them, though it was briefly caught up in plagiarism claims that were later dismissed. In 2017, guitarist Cristiano Lama left the group and was replaced by Guilherme Lirio.
They've put out a handful of albums since that first one, including 'Sombra e Luz' in 2016 and 'Coração em Tempo de Paz' in 2020. Other songs like 'Disputa' and 'Maluca' have also found an audience. The band's sound tends to move between ballads and more energetic tracks, but it's mostly grounded in straightforward Brazilian pop-rock.
