OliverClã formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2004 as a duo of DJ Oliver and MC Clan. They worked in funk carioca, a style that mixes Brazilian rhythms with electronic beats and rap. Their first album came out in 2006 under the title 'Funkcarioca.com.'
One of their best-known tracks is 'Taca Taca,' which came out around 2016. It's a party song that got played a lot at festivals and gatherings. Other songs like 'Adoro o Que Ela Faz' and 'Maluca' show their knack for catchy, danceable hooks.
They put out a few more albums after that, including 'Nem Ouro Nem Prata' and 'O Som É Nosso.' The music keeps the funk carioca foundation but sometimes brings in touches of hip-hop or reggae.
