Om Band

Om Band formed in Belo Horizonte in 1995 with Marcelo Camelo on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Barba on drums, and Márcio Buzelin on bass. Their debut album 'Admirável Chip Novo' came out in 1999, followed by 'Quatro' in 2001. They've kept releasing albums like 'Geleia Geral' in 2004 and 'Dois' in 2016.

Their song 'Inocência de Criança' became particularly well-known, though in 2004 there were some questions about its origins that eventually quieted down. Other tracks like 'A Humanidade' and 'Caminho da Verdade' show their tendency toward reflective lyrics over shifting musical textures.

They've worked within a space that draws from Brazilian popular music traditions while incorporating rock elements, avoiding strict genre boundaries. The band has maintained the same three-member lineup throughout their recording history.
