Onde Está? formed in 2003 in Santos, São Paulo. They spent their early years playing shows and working out what they wanted to sound like. In 2008, their album 'Voltar a Mim' got attention, with the title track becoming a well-known song. That album had a moody, atmospheric quality, with songs like 'Hoje, Amanhã ou Agora' and 'Dias de Chuva' exploring personal themes.
The band's lineup included Sérgio Britto on vocals and guitar, Leo Netto on guitar, Fabio Tanguinha on drums, and Felipe Sousa on bass. After 'Voltar a Mim', they released several more albums, including 'Equilíbrio' in 2011, 'Amanhecer' in 2014, 'Tempestade' in 2017, and 'Reconstrução' in 2020. Their music sometimes incorporated electronic or folk elements alongside their rock foundation.
Their songs often dealt with internal questions and relationships. Tracks like 'Onde Está o Amor?' and 'Mãe e Filha' showed a continued focus on lyrical introspection. They maintained a following in Brazil for this thoughtful approach to songwriting.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
