Archive material and source history

One-T was a reggae group led by singer Otis Gayle. Their 1995 debut album included 'The Magic Key,' which became their most recognizable song. The track's straightforward rhythm and Gayle's vocals connected with listeners in a way that felt unforced.

After some initial attention, the group faced disruptions. In 1998, Gayle's arrest on drug charges led to a cancelled US tour. Internal disagreements also surfaced, and several original members left over the following years. The band dissolved in 2004.

Otis Gayle revived the One-T name in 2015 with some returning musicians, releasing 'The Magic Key Revisited.' Other songs from their catalog include 'Bein' A Star' and 'Music Is The One-t Odc.'
