Background notes

Archive material and source history

One Track Mind formed in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. The band included Jeff Scott Soto on vocals, Tony Spinner on guitar, Randy Rhoads on bass, and Chris Starr on drums. They played hard rock.

Their debut album came out in 1993, also called 'Homefree'. The title track became their best-known song. They released a few more records in the mid-90s, like 'Fallen Angel' and 'Truth in Between'.

That detail doesn't line up. In the late 90s, there were some claims about the 'Homefree' melody being copied from another band, which One Track Mind denied.

Other songs of theirs include 'I Like You', 'Nothin To Run From', 'One More Chance', and 'Shaniqua'.
