Onivaldo e Edivaldo were a Brazilian duo who found success in the 1980s with songs that blended sertanejo, pop, and samba. Their debut single "Bem Feito Pra Nós Dois" from 1984 became a hit, leading to regular television and radio appearances. They followed it with albums like "Coração de Cigano" in 1986 and "Um Amor de Novela" in 1988.
Their music often dealt with romantic themes, as heard in tracks like "Seu Amor Ainda É Tudo" and "Coração Inocente." They also recorded Portuguese versions of international songs, such as "O Mais Importante É o Verdadeiro Amor," which adapted the Italian hit "Tanta Voglia Di Lei." Another notable song was "Nova Flor (Os Homens Não Devem Chorar)."
By the early 1990s, they had released "Pé na Estrada" in 1992. Their work earned them awards including the Troféu Imprensa and Troféu Sharp. While some critics dismissed their music as too commercial, the duo maintained a loyal audience through their accessible melodies and straightforward lyrics.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
