Freddie Aguilar was their lead singer and songwriter, and Florante played guitar and wrote the song "Family and Friends."

Opm's music often dealt with family and friendship themes, as heard in tracks like "Brighter Side" and "Fish Out The Water." They collaborated with artists like Nora Aunor and Lea Salonga, who recorded duets with Aguilar. The band faced some criticism early on for not following mainstream pop trends.
