An Echo Undone

You can stress the nurture of the child,

But it's he who holds the fault from actions of the liar,

The one who's past was not diluted,

And though the contradictions slide,

It is he who wears the weight of burden

The one that owns him,

It's only what you have become,

Not who created everything you know and love,

And what destroyed it all ungrateful,

Pose the question,

Understand,

But nothing seems to come to pass,

The meaning slowly falling from me,

Slow your hand,

Towards all that you are suppose to know and love,

Your callous blood and skin won't feel the same

Tell me you betrayed the trust,

Paint me just the way you are

Stem the flow and drain the venom away,

A beginning to a different day,

Don't want to fall asleep and say I didn't listen,

Don't want to falter down

And the same old lines that they did,

You're just the same as my contorted reflection,

Slow down in echoes.
