Their 2004 album "musiQ" incorporated funk, soul, and reggae elements. Later albums like "ORANGE" and "Squeezed" explored electronica and acoustic textures. The band has six members: Naoya Izumiya and Ryo Miyamori on vocals, Hiroki Miyamori on bass, YOH on guitar, Katchan on turntables, and Yama on drums.
In 2009, Orange Range faced plagiarism allegations over their song "Parasite," though the claims were later withdrawn. Their 2005 track "Asterisk" became widely used in commercials and television, giving them broader cultural recognition in Japan.
