Background notes

Archive material and source history

Orient Fall formed in Hungary in 2015, with founding members Zoltán Farkas on vocals and guitar, Tamás Ördög on guitar, Márton Veress on bass, and Tamás Kertész on drums. They came together after the dissolution of the Hungarian band Ektomorf. Their first album, 'The Promise,' arrived in 2016, followed by 'The Sum of All Fears' in 2018.

Their 2020 album 'What Is Past Is Prologue' gave the band its title track, which features vocalist Anett Földes. The band defended the video as an exploration of faith and human frailty. They've since released 'The Embers of Time' in 2022.

Other songs in their catalog include '1989,' 'I, Punk,' 'New // Ark,' and 'Silhouette,' which features Gábor Kovács and Orion Dawn. Their sound pulls from alternative rock and progressive metal, with some folk textures woven in.
