Original God is an alternative rock band that formed in Seattle in the early 1990s. Their music often deals with themes of despair and spirituality, which comes through in songs like "Can I Still Go To Heaven If I Kill Myself?" and "Paint a Smile On My Face." The band's lineup originally included vocalist Eddie Vedder, guitarist Mike McCready, bassist Jeff Ament, and drummer Dave Krusen.
Their debut album "Ten" came out in 1994 and found an audience with its raw energy and introspective lyrics. Krusen left the band that same year and was replaced by Matt Cameron on drums. Original God released two more albums in the mid-1990s, "Vs." in 1993 and "Vitalogy" in 1994.
The band's catalog includes other tracks like "Best Of Me," "U Don't Know Me," and "Animetal."
