Archive material and source history
Orlando Nascy formed in Lisbon in the early 1990s with vocalist Pedro Semedo, guitarist João Ribeiro, bassist João Fernandes, and drummer Pedro Campos. Their debut album 'Maré Alta' came out in 1997, followed two years later by 'A Tempestade', which gave them their title track and one of their most recognizable songs.
In the early 2000s, Fernandes and Campos left the band, replaced by bassist Nelson Correia and drummer Pedro Rodrigues. Through these changes, they kept playing live shows that were known for their intensity, and they continued putting out records.
Songs like 'Bebo, Balanço e Não Caio' and 'Coração Enlouquecido' show the band's range, from driving rock to more reflective moments. They worked within Portuguese rock, building a catalog that includes those tracks along with 'Bota dêdê Iaia' and 'Coração Indomável'.
