Background notes

Archive material and source history

Ormi formed in Hungary around 2009 when Orsolya Szalay and Márton Horváth started working together. They later added Gergő Oláh on bass and keyboards. The band's first album, 'Sinking Island,' came out in 2012, followed by 'Hidden' in 2015.

Their song 'Save Me' appeared on that second album. The track became something people connected with, though the band's overall sound tends toward the atmospheric and introspective.

In 2017, Ormi dealt with a legal dispute over their music rights. The situation was difficult but didn't stop them from continuing their work.
