Os Atraçao came out of Rio de Janeiro in the early 2000s, mixing funk carioca with samba and hip-hop. Their debut album 'Lance Brabo' from 2003 gave them a hit single that stuck around, and they followed it with records like 'Deixa o Som Continuar' in 2005 and 'Verão' in 2007.
MC Rogerinho fronted the group, with DJ Batata handling production and beats. Other members included rapper Nego B, guitarist Claudinho, and percussionist Vinícius Felipe. Their live shows were known for being energetic, and some of their lyrics drew criticism from conservative corners.
Songs like 'Ritmo da Requebrada' and 'Suspirou Que Sou Safado' show their style, danceable, with a bit of provocation in the words. They kept putting out music through the 2000s, including the 2010 album 'Fazer Balançar'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
