Os Brazões formed in Brazil during the 1960s, with Antônio Carlos on lead vocals, José Carlos on guitar, Moraes on bass, and Beto on drums. They released several albums in that decade, including their self-titled debut in 1966, followed by 'Quem É Você?' in 1967, 'A Ponte' in 1968, and 'Quero Viver' in 1969.
Their song 'Tão Longe de Mim' came out in 1967 and became one of their most recognized tracks. Other songs in their catalog include 'Gotham City,' 'Canastra Real,' 'Carolina, Carol Bela,' and 'Pega A Voga Cabeludo.'
The band's music sometimes drew attention from Brazil's military government at the time, leading to censorship. José Carlos left the group in 1969, and Moraes died in 1970. Their recordings have remained in circulation since then.
