Os Cabras formed in Salvador, Bahia, playing local bars and street performances. Their debut album was called "Rua do Sossego." The band included Cacau Melo on vocals and guitar, Magary Lord on bass, and Ramon Cruz on drums.
Their song "Saudade Imprudente" became particularly well-known, along with "Sem Sair do Tom." Some of their lyrics touched on sensitive topics that drew criticism from conservative listeners.
Their music incorporated traditional Brazilian rhythms along with rock, jazz, and funk elements. They wrote songs collaboratively, often drawing from personal experiences.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
