Os Imortais Rap formed in the early 2000s with MCs Roger and Nego Max at the center. Their debut album 'Mundo Cruel' came out in 2003, and the title track became one of their defining songs.
They kept releasing albums through the 2000s and 2010s, including 'Sem Perdão' in 2005 and 'Favela Vive' in 2015. Other tracks like 'Abertura Sou Imortal' and 'Chapado' show their straightforward approach to rap. DJ Tamenpi handled production for the group.
Their music found an audience among listeners who recognized the scenes they described. While they faced criticism at times, their recordings continued to circulate outside mainstream channels.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
