Os Moby Dicks formed in São Paulo in 1968, with Sérgio Dias Baptista on vocals and guitar, Luís Carlos Maluly on bass, and Wilson Machado on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1970 and included the song 'Entre a Loucura e a Razão,' which became a hit. The band's sound mixed progressive rock with Brazilian rhythms, drawing from influences like The Beatles and Caetano Veloso.
In 1974, they released the album 'Audaz,' which was well-received.
Os Moby Dicks reunited in the early 1990s with Baptista, Maluly, and a new drummer, Rodrigo D'Angelo. They toured and put out albums like 'Uakti' in 1996 and '20 Anos' in 1998. Other songs from their catalog include 'Prá Que Eu Possa Te Ver' and 'A Música da Chuva.'
