Archive material and source history

Os Muita Manha came out of Lisbon in the late 1990s with a sound that mixed Portuguese traditional music and rock. Their first album came out in 1998, and they kept putting out records through the 2000s, including 'Para Dias Melhores' in 2002 and 'Grande' in 2006.

The band had João Afonso on vocals, Miguel Ferreira on guitar, Ricardo Guerreiro on bass, and Pedro Alves on drums. Other tracks like 'Incendeia' and 'No passinho dos muita manha' show their style.

They released albums steadily into the 2010s with 'A Vida Toda' in 2010 and 'Despertar' in 2012. Their music found an audience in Portugal, especially with younger listeners.
