Os Prosaicos formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 2004 with Flávio Venturini on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Tavares on guitar, Marcelo Gross on bass, and Ricardo Pauletti on drums. They played small venues around the city for several years before releasing their debut album 'Em Busca do Sentido' in 2009.
That album included 'Bella,' a ballad that became their most recognizable song. They followed it with four more studio albums over the next decade: 'Pra Onde Iremos' in 2011, 'Mundo Paralelo' in 2013, 'Prosaico' in 2016, and 'Histórias Pra Contar' in 2018.
In 2017, Marcelo Gross left the band and was replaced by André Mendonça. Their songs like 'Simples É' and 'Sobre Nós Dois' maintained a consistent presence on Brazilian radio during these years.
