Os Silvas formed in Buenos Aires with Leandro Lacerda on vocals and guitar, Matias Bazterrica on bass, and Juanjo Bustos on drums. Their debut album 'Azul' came out in 1998 and included the song 'Mundo Azul,' which became their breakout track. They followed it with albums like 'Colores' in 2000 and 'Viento' in 2003.
Their sound mixed Latin rhythms with rock and pop elements, which drew some early criticism for being unconventional. Other songs like 'Talvez' and 'Te Espero Sozinha' show their range from upbeat tracks to more introspective material. They've faced plagiarism claims about 'Mundo Azul,' which they've denied.
Later albums included 'Agua' in 2006 and 'Tierra' in 2010. The band has kept performing, drawing crowds with their energetic live shows and songs that blend different styles without sticking to one formula.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
