Os The Darma Lóvers

Os The Darma Lovers came together in Rio de Janeiro around the early 2000s. Their music had a certain atmospheric quality that some listeners connected with Radiohead or The Cure, though it didn't immediately find a wide audience. They kept at it, playing shows and slowly building a following.

Their first album, 'Simplesmente,' came out in 2005. The title track became their best-known song, a piece of indie rock that stuck with people. They followed it with records like 'Do Lado Direito da Manhã' in 2008 and 'Psicodelia Tropical' in 2012, each showing a different side of their sound.

The band's core was Rodrigo Amarante on vocals, Flavio Cavasseri on guitar and keyboards, and Ruy Fritsch on drums. Their songs, including 'A Frog In a Stone (Three Times)' and 'O Buda Que Você Sou,' often carried a reflective, somewhat hazy mood. They worked quietly, without much fanfare, making music that felt personal and a little removed from the mainstream.
