Os The Peoples were a Brazilian band best known for their 1988 song "A Pia do Banheiro." The track became something of an underground phenomenon, though its subject matter, a man's fixation with a bathroom sink, drew both fascination and criticism. The group included vocalist Nei Lisboa, guitarist J. C. Botezelli, drummer J. A. Fagundes, and bassist Flávio Venturini.
They released a handful of records in the late 80s and early 90s, including "O Último Dia" in 1989 and "Pára-Raios" in 1990. Other songs like "A Terra Gira" and "Não Quero Sabe de Trabalhá" appear in their catalog. The band broke up in 1991, and the reasons were never clearly explained, which added to their somewhat mysterious reputation.
