Os Torto is a Brazilian band that formed in São Paulo in 1987. Their song 'Obrigado Amigo, Você É Um Amigo' became widely known as a friendship anthem. They also recorded tracks like 'Ele É Chato Mas É Meu Amigo' and 'Cumbia Satanista'.

Their debut album 'Beleza e a Besta' came out in 1989. Some critics at the time suggested similarities between 'Obrigado Amigo' and Neil Young's 'Old Man,' though the band maintained their work was original.

Later albums included 'A Verdade Está no Céu,' 'O Último Romântico,' and 'A Banda e o Tempo.' Their music drew from rock, folk, and samba, with lyrics often about friendship and everyday life. Beto Guedes left the group in 1994, with Telo Borges taking over as lead vocalist.
