A comedy group from the 1960s that mixed samba, bossa nova, and humor across more than fifty albums.
For a quick sense of their sound, try 'Marido e Mulher Cantando MPB' or 'Pula, veadinho.' They're light, catchy, and full of that old-school Brazilian humor.
They started on the TV show 'Praça da Alegria' in 1966 and kept going for over forty years. Their songs like 'Marido e Mulher Cantando MPB' blended samba and pop with funny lyrics. Even after Mussum died and Didi retired, their films and TV shows stayed familiar to many Brazilians.
They formed as a trio with Renato Aragão, Dedé Santana, and Mussum. Their first album, 'Os Saltimbancos Trapalhões,' came out in 1969, and they recorded dozens more after that.
