Os Villarin is a Brazilian band formed in 2015 by cousins João Henrique and Rodrigo Villarin. They released their debut album 'Eu Quero Tchê' in 2016, but it was their 2018 album 'Agora Fale Se Quiser' that brought them wider attention. The title track from that album became one of their most recognizable songs.
The band's music draws from sertanejo and forró traditions, with João Henrique on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo on vocals and bass, Mauricio Szabo on drums, and Leandro Morais on keyboards and accordion. Their catalog includes albums like 'Nosso Truco' (2019), 'Cheiro de Saudade' (2021), and 'Festa do Interior' (2022).
In 2020, they faced plagiarism accusations regarding their song 'Fim de Noite,' which they denied. The pandemic disrupted their touring plans, leading to some virtual performances instead. Their songs 'Até mais ver...' and 'Canção de Cafuné' show their range within the sertanejo-pop style they work in.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
