Osanna

Osanna formed in Naples in 1971, a group of musicians drawn to complex melodies and unconventional time signatures. Their early years involved financial struggles and difficulty finding gigs in a competitive scene.

In 1972 they released their debut album 'L'Uomo,' which became their defining work. The title track is a haunting, introspective ballad about human fragility. Other songs from that period like 'Animale Senza Respiro' and 'Fiume' show their range within the progressive rock style.

Their discography includes albums like 'Pelle di Tamburo' from 1973 and 'Sudd' from 1974, each exploring different musical directions from psychedelic influences to cinematic arrangements. Key members included Lino Vairetti on keyboards and vocals, Danilo Rustici on bass, and Massimo Guarino on drums.
