His early life in the favelas informed some of his lyrics, which sometimes touched on social themes. This occasionally drew attention, but he kept writing from that perspective.
He released an album called 'Louco de "Bão"' that included both ballads and dance tracks. Later records included 'Tudo o Que Eu Quero' and 'O Som do Samba'.
