Pablo Cruise formed in San Francisco in 1973 with David Jenkins on vocals and guitar, Bud Cockrell on guitar, Steve Price on bass, Greg Karp on drums, and Cory Lerios on keyboards. Their self-titled debut came out in 1975, but it was the 1976 album 'A Place in the Sun' that really put them on the map. That record included 'Cool Love,' a track that became one of their best-known songs.
The band's lineup shifted over time, Cockrell left in 1983, and other members came and went. By the mid-1980s, their commercial momentum had slowed, and they went on hiatus in 1990.
They reunited for a performance in San Francisco in 2013. Songs like 'Love Will Find a Way' and 'I Go To Rio' still get played on classic rock stations.
