Pacific! formed in 2017 with Sam Matlock on vocals, Matt Thomas on guitar, Dylan Bacot on bass, and Jack Anderson on drums. Their debut single was 'Paper Planes,' and they later released an EP called 'A Long Time Coming.' Songs like 'Hot Lips' and 'Break Your Social System' show their pop sound.
In 2019, Anderson left the band and was replaced by drummer Frank Kadis. The group put out more music after that, including albums titled 'Season One' and 'In the Way.'
In 2021, Matlock faced accusations of inappropriate behavior toward a fan, and the band issued a public apology. They kept recording tracks like 'Never In Love' and 'Standby' afterward.
