Their lyrics dealt with death, suicide, and social decay, which drew condemnation from religious and conservative groups. Songs like "Você Não Tem Mãe" and "Acorda Brasil" became anthems for marginalized Brazilian youth, who found something cathartic in the band's uncompromising expression of despair.
Pacto de Morte released several albums including "Debaixo do Asfalto" in 1992 and "Você Não Tem Mãe" in 1996. Their live shows were known for chaotic energy, with mosh pits and pyrotechnics. The band disbanded in 2000, but their raw, nihilistic music continues to find listeners who connect with its unflinching darkness.
