Archive material and source history
Pagan Hellfire came out of the Norwegian black metal scene in the early 1990s. Their debut album 'Moss' arrived in 1994 with a raw, chaotic sound. They followed it with 'The Eternal Eclipse' in 1996 and 'The Vindication' in 2005.
Their 2000 album 'Allegiance and Betrayal' gave the band its name to one of their better-known songs. Other tracks like 'Hate Is As Strong As Death' and 'The Root Of Dormant Pestilence' show their lyrical focus on dark themes.
The band's lineup included M. Necrobutcher on bass, G. Fenriz on drums, and Daniel Rostvold handling vocals and guitar.
