Their music drew from the melodies and rhythms of the vaquejada tradition, though they arranged it for contemporary listeners. Their debut album was "Sinhá Pureza" in 2000, followed by records like "Vaquejada" in 2004 and "Sertão Coração" in 2007. One of their songs is called "Saudades."
Some of their lyrics depicted the rough world of the vaquejada, which led to criticism about glorifying certain aspects of that culture. They kept making music that reflected their region's experiences anyway.
