A Mexican rock duo whose songs mix breakup stories with personal struggles.
For a good sense of their sound, try 'Adiós' or 'Los Amantes', both have that straightforward rock energy and lyrics that don't overcomplicate things.
Their breakout track 'Mejor que tú mintiendo' from the 2016 debut 'Lágrimas de Cristal' showed their knack for sharp, guitar-driven rock about relationships. Later songs like 'Adiós' and 'Los Amantes' kept that direct emotional pull, while the 2020 album 'Héroes de Barro' reflected some of the real-life turbulence they'd faced. They never lost that plainspoken voice.
Pambo formed in 2015 with Diego Rodil on vocals and guitar and Juan Rodriguez on drums. After their debut 'Lágrimas de Cristal' in 2016, they put out albums like 'Vendavales' in 2018 and 'Héroes de Barro' in 2020. The 2019 arrest of Rodil for drug possession led to canceled shows and later material that seemed to nod at those experiences.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
