Panos Kalidis was born in 1967 in the village of Agios Athanasios, Greece. He started singing in local taverns before forming the band Monaxia Mou with guitarist Vasilis Spanoulis in 1993. The band's name translates to 'My Loneliness,' which became something of a theme in his work.
Monaxia Mou's debut album 'Kato Apo To Derma Mou' came out in 1999, and its title track helped establish their sound. Kalidis later went solo in 2006 with the album 'Den Eixa Kati Na Foreso.' He's released several albums since, including 'Ta Mina Mou' and 'To Klama To Diko Sou.'
In 2003, Kalidis was involved in a public altercation with another musician that led to criminal charges. He eventually cleared his name and continued making music, though the incident remained part of his story. His songs often deal with themes of solitude and heartache, as suggested by titles like 'Monaxia Mou.'
