Papercut Project formed in 2010 as a trio with vocalist and guitarist Katie Kim, bassist and keyboardist Spencer Rhea, and drummer Jack Mulhern. They released their debut EP 'The Abyss Stares Back' with an introspective, ethereal style. Their song 'I Like That' became their signature track.
After Mulhern's departure in 2015, Kim and Rhea continued as a duo. They put out the 2017 album 'Spectral' and the 2020 EP 'The Shadow', which explored themes of loss and longing. Their music often uses unconventional instrumentation and thought-provoking lyrics.
