Paradise Kiss was a Japanese band from Tokyo with four members: vocalist and lyricist Yurika, guitarist and composer Naho, bassist Satoko, and drummer Maki. They released their debut single "Lonely In Gorgeous" in 2007, which became an instant sensation. Their first full-length album "Asymmetry" followed in 2008, and they put out another album called "Departure" in 2010.
Their music included songs like "Do You Want To?" and "Hello" from their catalog. Yurika's lyrics were often described as introspective, and the band's style was noted for being unconventional and androgynous, which drew both praise and criticism. Naho's guitar work created what some called haunting soundscapes.
They faced some challenges during their time together, including accusations about the tone of their lyrics being too negative. But their song "Lonely In Gorgeous" remained particularly well-known for its melancholic quality.
