Paranóicos Latentes formed in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1980s with vocalist Carlinhos Brown, bassist Bruno Medaglia, guitarist Pedro Luís, and drummer Márcio Vitor. They released their self-titled debut album in 1992, which included the song "Tô Com Fome!" that became widely known in Brazil.
Their music mixed Brazilian rhythms with rock and funk, with lyrics that often had humor and social commentary. Songs like "Boneca Inflável" and "A Felicidade É Um Revolver Quente" showed their playful approach to writing.
They put out several more albums through the 1990s and early 2000s, including Cabeça de Papelão in 1995 and Inconseqüente in 2003. Their work sometimes drew criticism for being provocative, but they kept making music with that same energetic style.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
