Parola formed in Lisbon in the early 1990s with Pedro Ayres Magalhães, Carlos Tê, and João Pedro Pais. Their debut album 'Visões de Um Sonho' came out in 1993. The band's third album 'Ao Vivo' from 1997 included a live version of 'A Parte Nublada do Céu,' which became widely known in Portugal.
Other songs like 'Ruído,' 'Calos de Asfalto Quente,' and 'Canto de Outono' appeared on their albums through the late 1990s and early 2000s. They released 'O Caminho' in 1999 and 'Cruzamentos' in 2001 before going on hiatus that same year.
Parola reunited for concerts in 2011. Their music, particularly songs like 'A Parte Nublada do Céu' and 'Lona Azul,' continued to find listeners years after their initial recordings.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
