Antes de la Navidad
Se solía celebrar
Una fiesta especial
¡Saturnalia!
En la antigua Roma
Adoraban al Dios Sol
Y a Saturno hacían honor
Que por cierto, era un mamón
¡Se comía a sus hijos!
Se invitaban a cenar y se hacían regalos sin parar
La guerra queda a un lado
Y hasta los esclavos daban libertad
Solo un rato
Se jugaba la lotería que habitualmente estaba prohibida
Las casas se adornaban
De fiesta se tiraban
Siete días sin parar
Y más o menos en las mimas fechas, los nórdicos tenían yule, una fiesta muy importante y muy familiar en la que celebraban el solsticio de invierno
Encendían muchas velas
Y un árbol ponían en las casas
Se cantaba en cada puerta
Y juntos se comían un jamón
De un cerdo sacrificado
Y a veces degollaban una cabra
Que llevaba las ofrendas
Y recuerdan mucho a las de Thor
¡Pero los años pasaron y aparecieron los cristianos!
Cosa que a los romanos no les gustaba demasiado
Pero en el año 300 la cosa cambia
Y Constantino les permite que hagan sus cosas libremente
Intentaban agradar
A las gentes del lugar
Pero había que adaptar
A los paganos
A la fe cristiana
Y la fiesta del Dios Sol
Fue la que les pareció mejor
Para que nazca el señor
Pues no sabían
La fecha exacta
Y la Navidad llego
Hasta nuestros días se quedó
Aunque hubo algunos años
Que por asuntos varios
Esta fiesta se prohibió ¡solo un rato!
