I had a dream that i woke up

Behind the wheel of a pickup truck

A black dog in the road

Swerve to miss him and the wheel got stuck

Came back to reality

To find my mortality

Still staring me straight in the eye

It was looking straight down at me

The evening that i came to find

A black dog on the River Street

On his chest was a little white stripe
