Background notes

Archive material and source history

Passymal formed in 2016 when Clément Duboscq and Louis Delort, two friends from the Paris suburbs, started writing songs together. They were later joined by Pierre-Henri Menet on bass and Paul Pahon on keyboards. Their first single, "Pas Si Mal," came out in 2018 and caught on quickly in France.

That song, with its straightforward melody and Duboscq's plainspoken delivery, became their breakout track. In 2019 they released a debut album called "Ça Va Aller Mieux Demain," which included songs like "Le Vent M'Emporte" and "Je Sais Pas." A second album, "Vivant," followed in 2021.
