em Cristo Jesus,
o qual se nos tornou,
da parte de Deus,
sabedoria, e justiça,
e santificação, e redenção.

Além de sabedoria,
santificação e redenção,
é afirmado também no texto
que nosso Senhor se tornou
justiça,
da parte de Deus,
para nós.
Esta justiça
que o próprio Senhor Jesus
se tornaria para os crentes
foi prometida por Deus
e profetizada no Velho Testamento,
especialmente pelo profeta Isaías.
E o propósito de tal justiça
tem a ver principalmente
com a nossa salvação.
Deus Pai tem oferecido
livre e gratuitamente
a justiça de Seu Filho,
para a salvação
de todo aquele que nEle crê.
Não há nenhum outro modo
ou possibilidade de salvação
a não ser por este modo
que foi determinado por Deus Pai.
É pela aceitação desta justiça
que há em nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo,
que uma pessoa é salva.
Qualquer outro meio
no qual se confie
para a salvação,
manterá a pessoa
tão perdida
quanto se encontrava antes,
porque Deus
somente perdoará
e receberá como seus filhos
àqueles que receberam a Cristo
para ser a justiça deles.
Por isso o fim da própria lei
é Cristo,
para justiça de todo aquele que crê.
Deus somente fica satisfeito
quando aceitamos esta justiça
que Ele está nos oferecendo.
E nós, quando cremos,
ficamos também
plenamente satisfeitos,
e não gostaríamos
de ser salvos
por nenhum outro modo,
senão, que reconhecemos
que não há
qualquer justiça própria em nós
que nos recomende a Deus,
pois estamos cheios de pecados
e que, portanto,
Cristo nos satisfaz plenamente,
e lhe amamos muito,
e lhe somos muito gratos
por nos ter justificado
somente pela Sua graça
e mediante a fé.
