The day in my mind is a black and white photograph

The sky drawn in charcoal and clay

And as I think of your smile, a rain cloud rolls over me

Outlined in pencil and filled in to shade

Twilight is coming with purple-gray streaking

Lying with you in the dew on the grass

It would be nice to know that you are mine
