Background notes

Archive material and source history

Patterns formed in Berlin in the early 1990s, with Chris Liebing and Stephan Bodzin working together on a mix of techno and ambient sounds. Their first album, 'Slice 'N' Dice,' came out in 1993. Bodzin left the project in 1995, and both musicians spent several years on their own solo work.

They got back together in 2003 to record 'Pattern of the Moment.' The track 'People of Tomorrow' came out the following year and became their most recognizable song. Other tracks from that period include 'Sunny Days' and 'Burning Man.'
