I'm the cold, cold water in the long, deep river,

what is luring you is what will cause the deadly shiver,

When I saw the river the sun was up and blinding and

on the surface gleaming with no sight down.

Should I stay till dusk? But I'd trifle away the joyous day!

So I kept on wandering, so alone.
