A Brazilian singer who won Ídolos in 2005 and has since blended sertanejo with pop influences.
For a sense of her range, check out "Olhos de Céu" and "A Promessa." They frame her blend of sertanejo and romantic balladry pretty clearly.
She came up through the singing competition Ídolos, which led to her self-titled debut in 2007. Her music mixes traditional sertanejo with contemporary pop, as heard in songs like "Olhos de Céu." Over the years, she's kept those roots while incorporating more romantic ballads and international sounds.
Born in Sete Lagoas in 1984, she started in a children's choir at eight. After winning Ídolos, her early albums like "Pássaro de Fogo" from 2009 set her style, and she's continued with releases like "Origens" in 2018.
