Archive material and source history
Paula Santos is a Brazilian singer-songwriter who came up singing in church. Her song "És Deus" became a gospel anthem in Brazil after she released it as the title track of her 2003 debut album.
She was born in the coastal city of Santos and later joined the gospel group Comunidade Cristã Paz e Vida in her early twenties. After her debut, she put out several more albums including "Te Amo Mais Que Tudo" in 2006 and "Meu Maior Sonho" in 2009.
Some critics have questioned whether her music became too commercial, but she kept recording. In 2008, she lost her mother, and she's mentioned dealing with online harassment at times.
